Major League Baseball

For those who missed last night's All-Star game, the National League's win-less streak has reached 13. Their starting top 6 of the batting order went a combined 0-12 to include Marlins Short Stop Hanley Ramirez who went 0-3 with three groundouts. Pitcher Josh Johnson did not enter the game in his first All-Star selection.

Yahoo Sports reported last night that Pedro Martinez passed his physical and has agreed to a $1 million, one-year contract with N.L East Division Leader Philadelphia Phillies.

National Basketball Association

The Los Angeles Lakers have pulled their $27 million, three year offer to Lamar Odom. Lamar is upset that the Lakers were refusing to extend a contract for more than 3 years. The Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat are believed to have extended contracts to Odom with Miami being the favorite relocation destination for Odom. Reports are that he is weighing his options and hasn't ruled out a return to Los Angeles.

There are so many rumors surronding Carlos Boozer that they are hard to keep up with. Miami is still a possibility but Pat Riley insists that he will not trade F Michael Beasley.

Allen Iverson still has Miami on the top of his list. Iverson is looking for the full $5.8 million mid-level exception.

Pat Riely needs to make a move. If it's going to keep Dwayne Wade here, do whatever you have to do.

National Football League

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with fourth round draft pick WR Brian Hartline out of Ohio State.

Earlier this month they were able to sign third round draft pick WR Patrick Turner (USC) and LB J.D. Folsom (Weber State). OL Andrew Gardner (Georgia Tech) was signed in June and TE John Nalbone (Monmouth) was signed in May.

First-rounder CB Vontae Davis (Illinios), second-round picks QB Pat White (West Virginia) and CB Sean Smith (Utah) and fifth-round pick S Chris Clemons (Clemson) have yet to sign contracts with the Dolphins.
