Miami Heat
2009 ended on a sour note for the Miami Heat, with the San Antonio Spurs dismantling the Heat to the tune of 108 to 78. A 30-point loss is not what Miami wanted to end the year after a great start to the season.

Now the Heat find themselves struggling to get back on track after losing their first game of 2010 to the Charlotte Bobcats last night. Miami is currently on a 3-game losing streak and will play their next two games against Eastern Conference giants, Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics. Fortunately, those two games will be played in Miami, but then the Heat must head on the road for a 6-game west coast trip.

Miami Dolphins
A miracle is what the Miami Dolphins need if they are going to reach the postseason this year. Losses by the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars would be required for such a scenario. And let's not forget the defending NFL Champions Pittsburgh Steelers, which Miami must defeat at home today.

Realistically speaking, it's all but over for the Dolphins. But it never hurts to dream, and that's what many Miami fans are doing today as they watch the game.
