The cable television network Versus has agreed to air a total of 16 NBA D-League games on Saturday night's at 11 PM, with the first showing on January 16th. And to open up the first game, the Sioux Falls Skyforce will take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. It will be a prime opportunity for the D-League to gain added exposure, but more importantly it will give the Skyforce a shot to prove themselves on cable television.
To date, the Skyforce hold a record of 9-7 and are ranked third in the Eastern Conference, five games behind the conference-leading Iowa Stampede. On Tuesday night, the Syforce routed the Maine Red Claws to the tune of 121 to 102. It was the first time all season that seven Skyforce players scored in double-digits, led by David Bailey's 20-point showing. And just two weeks back, Reggie Williams was named Performer of the Week; a fairly impressive feat for a first-year Skyforcer.
Stay tuned for the Skyforce's cable debut on Staurday, January 16th, at 11 PM to watch the Miami Heat's official D-League affiliate perform live on the tube.
